Byzantine Chain Maille Earrings with Jeannie Galt Sat. May 1 1-4pm $35.00
A 3 hour workshop to learn the Byzantine Chain a popular
and versatile weave for
jewelry. We’ll make at least one pair of
earrings in our class, and with the knowledge you’ve gained, one can continue on your own to make bracelets, necklaces, or more earrings, as is your preference.. For this learning project, we will use aluminum rings, mainly because of their ease of use and cost.Tools
that you will need: 2 pair of flat-nose or chain-nose pliers (or one
of each). Bring along your favorite beads for
embellishment. I will also supply some of
my own smaller lampwork beads. All Day Mystery Quilting Work Shop with Carol Gagnon Learn to Knit with Jeannie Galt April 17 & 24 Sat.
1-3pm $35.00 Let’s learn to knit – During these two session
workshop, we’ll learn the basics of knitting and purling, casting on and off. I can show you both the Continental and European style knitting while we work on a scarf. Supplies required: 2 – 100 gram balls of Bulky weight yarn (approximately
130 yards per 100 grams) and size 6-8mm needles (whatever your yarn recommends) If you are already a member of the Gibson Gallery please deduct $15.00 from the class fee.
